TUGGERAH LAKES GOLF CLUB
18 holes - Par 71 ~
Length: 5994 metres
The Hidden Gem
"Tuggerah Lakes Golf Club is a hidden gem perched on the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean.
The course starts off with a deceptively long slight dogleg par five and continues to challenge all levels of golfers from then on.
"The front nine winds its way close to the beach with eye-catching views whilst not being long accuracy off the tee is imperative if the local winds are up.
"Huge established trees line most fairways with lush soft fairways giving mostly perfect lies throughout the course with equally good true green.
"A first class clubhouse with an extensive menu awaits all golfers looking for some respite on one of the Central Coast’s challenging courses." (www.gimmegolf.com.au)

Par 5 - 507 metres - Stroke Index 11/22
After a middled drive two bunkers come into play. For the approach shot it is prudent to favour the leftside of the green with three bunkers on the right.
Par 4 - 395 metres - Stoke Index 2/20
Being uphill adds to the length of this challenging par four. Long or left on the approach to the oblique green is a 'no no' with bunkers left and rough behind.
Par 4 - 380 metres - Stroke Index 9/24
OOB and fairway bunkers may punish a wayward tee shot. Bunkers short and left of the narrow green and another mid right call for a straight approach.
Par 3 - 136 metres - Stroke Index 14/34
An uphill tee shot here so in addition to wind and the day's distance, allow for the rise in club selection. Bunkers back right and left - shorter is safest.
Par 4 - 364 metres - Stroke Index 13/31
A blind tee shot and OOB left requires a true tee shot. Possibly still a long 2nd shot into the green where preferring the left side will avoid the right bunker.
Par 4 - 334 metres - Stroke Index 6/26
A splendid oceanside hole. Favour right centre of fairway to take the left-hand bunker out of play, pond off fairway right. Two deep bunkers left of green to be avoided.
Par 4 - 366 metres - Stroke Index 4/28
A heavily tree-lined fairway calls for a middled tee shot. Bunkers off fairway right, front left and another mid-left, but do not go long.
Par 4 - 362 metres - Stroke Index 7/29
The approach to the two-tiered green is the key to par here. Missing the green to the right is trouble. Beware a 'secret' bunker back of green.
Par 3 - 113 metres - Stroke Index 18/36
Not a hard hole if you hit sweetly and avoid the bunkers. The green has many undulations and reading your putt well is the key to par or better.

TLGC HOLE BY HOLE - THE BACK NINE
Par 3 - 120 metres - Stroke Index 17/35
Club selection is vital here. A significant slope behind the green may carry your ball OOB or at best lodge it against the fence.
Par 4 - 393 metres - Stroke Index 5/23
Shrubbery to the right and pines to the left fairway call for a middled tee shot. All sand left of green and trouble long. Difficult putt if on the wrong tier.
Par 4 - 402 metres - Stroke Index 1/19
Being uphill and long this Par 4 earns its 1 index rating. Two well-hit shots are needed. Sand behind and left of the large green.
Par 3 - 152 metres - Stroke Index 10/33
Uphill Par 3 may need an extra club or two in the wind. Bunkers short and left for a pitch and putt for par.
Par 4 - 398 metres - Stroke Index 3/21
Not a hard driving hole but two good shots needed to be near the green in two. The green slopes back to front and short is safest again.
Par 5 - 404 metres - Stroke Index 16/32
The bunkers guarding the fairway in the landing area compensate for the shortness of this Par 5.
The very narrow green is well bunkered including one back green.
Par 4 - 318 metres - Stroke Index 12/27
Play this hole with your heart. Favour left fairway off the tee, but don't go too long. This sets you up for a safer second avoiding bunkers right green.
Par 4 - 313 metres - Stroke Index 15/30
Another hole where a good approach shot is key to par. A long narrow green has bunkers both sides and at the back. A lay up can pay dividends.
Par 5 - 537 metres - Stroke Index 8/25
Long and uphill. Tiger might get home in two but few others. Your approach to a large green with bunkers left and right
will be watched with interest from the balcony.
